run stopping

hey guys im looking for a little advice on stopping the run.up till now i have been using 3-4 mostly as my base d from the jets playbook,but im having a hard time stopping the run.i can stop pitches and tosses no problem if i think my opponet is going to run them its more the power o type of play im having trouble with.i dont care if its 3-4 4-3 oddsplit or 4-4 etc im willing to go to practice and try them out.

would also love to lab with a defence master if anyone got time(im on ps3)

lost month i was in the same jam u in right now

and til i discover the only way i can stop the run is to go back to the basic an that is 2man under .any 2man under work like a charm

hey if your using the jets playbook easiest way to stop any run...and i mean any off tackle pitch anthing...is go to the 4-6 in the jets playbook pick rush outside and than contain the ends...this will bring pressure from the outside and will contain against pitches off tackle anthing...if u want extra help user the fs and man him up to the running back

i tried the outside rush and it worked well when i spread the lb and reblitz the olbs.but i will try this with de contain,its notso much pitches its more inside and power o type runs that get me

if you having problem with them running inside you can still pick outside rush pinch the line contain the de's and put the mlb's in the a gaps and reblitz

always contain the de's in case they break it outside or throw a screen or to the flats...

good tips guys i will try the 4-6 outside rush.got anything in another formation?

mcfart i played you the other day. stir you will definitely find a run defense playing against mcfart. lol

zone man blitz from 34 normal or any man play should stop the run better than a zone. The players in man coverage don't run away from the line after the hike.

4-6 cover 3...contain de's and a gap blitz mlbs...out of the 3-4 i like the 3-4 predator weak side blitz...user the rolb and man him to the running back
