I was playing a ultimate team game, and before the game started the other person was switching his gamer tag before the game started, his team name stayed the same but his profile changed. wondered how this was possible without quitting the game first.

It could have been the ea servers lagging. I've never seen anything like that before.

My best guess is server lagging. I don't know any other way to explain that.
