Does anyone else do this

Have a pass rush side and a run support side.

For example i'll set my depth up like

ROLB- Best tackler and defender in run support
MLB- My best or 2nd best LB.
LOLB- My fastest DE or LB

DT1- fastest DT
DT2- Run spport DT
RE- Best tackling OLB or DE i can put here. Sometimes even a DT
LE- 2nd fastest DE or OLB

FS- User

SS- Hardest hitting DB

CB1- hardest hitting CB

Cb2- usually my best DB

Team example

ROLB-G.Brackett
MLB-C.Session
LOLB-D.Freeney
DT-A.Johnson
DT2.K.Dawson
RE-R.Brock
LE-.R.mathis

FS.ABethea
SS-.M.Bullet

CB1- B.Sanders
Cb2. K.Hayden

i mostly just keep it straight up, with my bigger DT's in the middle, better tacklers in the middle, more agile backers on the outside, and better zone guys as CB's but if someone was totally abusing one side of the field with AP or CJ i would deffinetly go into a setup like this, nice tip ant.

Yea this is my set up for my 4-3 over. I just want to force the ball to there #2 WR against my #1 CB. I mainly shift the line left and right the LB's right and create B gap pressure.

i like the philosophy behind it! ima deffinetly do some labbing with this, this could be a real good strategy when facing guys that like to go to one guy or run on one side of the field.

I like speed on the outside (DE's, OLBS, CB's) and more powerful guys in the middle (DT's, MLB's, S's). I don't like playin people outside thier position, unless a SS at OLB. I kinda get ur defenseive scheme Ant, but doesnt that just give you a really strong side and a really weak side?

pass rushers aren't THAT weak against the run. Like Freeny and Mathis. It's more intimidating than anything. It gives me a pass rush side, i wouldnt' call that the weak side, it just gives my defense as a whole more balanced and more reliant on one another. One side has to function to force the other side to function.

Alright then. Just seems like if I saw Freeney at Lolb and Mathis at Le I would run allllll dayyyy to the opposite side. I just like a more balanced look on Defense but do you mane.

Sounds like he wants you to run to the opposite side, if I'm not mistaken.
