PS3 vs. XBOX

All right, so right now I have an xbox 360 and love playing madden on it. However, it seems that the entire madden community is shifting to ps3 . This is very troubling because I am a 16 year old guy with little no income and do not have the money to get a ps3. Is it worth it to sell my xbox?

LOL, regardless of how many jump ship there will always be a ton of madden players on 360..... I have both systems and rarely play my 360.. I only play online with my ps3...... Depends on what you think

Yeah but im worried about the competitive scene because I'm getting to the age that I can actually drive and do things to go to competition. What should I do if im worried about that?

360 hands down..

If the opportunity arises, i would get a ps3 too though

MLG is for ps3. So if your thinking of going to a big tournament like MLG i would say ps3 but they have tournaments for 360 too

to me the only way the xbox even competes with the station is the fact that it's been out longer and has more games. and maybe their controller according to some (not me). other than that, the ps3 beats the xbox in all the major categories. better graphics and power, it's a computer, free online gaming, decent web browser, cleaner system navigation, blu ray player, and so on.

hell, i think the 360 has been holding back the full potential of madden because it has to be developed within the 360's capabilities which are much less than the ps3.

if you can sell the xbox and grab a ps3, do it and don't look back.

So I had been contemplating for years now of whether to get a ps3. Ive been on xbox for a while and had no problems with it. They have a big online community and lots of games. To be honest I always missed my ps2 tho.

Yesterday I traded in my xbox elite(120 gb hard drive) my xbox pro with the red ring of death ( I cant believe they gave me 100 bux for it) and all my games,controller, head sets, all of it, for a PS3.

I didnt have to pay a dime and got a ps3 (250 gb ) and Madden 10. THE BEST DESCISION OF MY LIFE. Ps3 is blowin out xbox!!!! You can do everything an xbox does and more. The graphics are better, better downloadable content, you can browse the internet, The game just seems smoother.

Itll take me about a week im guessin before I get used to the controller (buttons are in different spots and the analog stik is alot more sensative.) But Ill be online soon seein what the Ps3 community of madden players have to offer. JoshNem IS HERE PS3!

The 360 is the best bar none!!!!!!!no need to go into all the bull crap it's better nuff said, ask why sony can't find a way to fix the freeze problem PS3 has??? then get at me holla.

Thats your OPINION guy....ask why microsoft xbox 360 cant fix the red ring of death it has???? I went through 3 xboxs before I got smart and got a PSthree!!!

yo. no matter what... its just about the people you play with.

360 or PS3... all you want is some fun, right? they both do that. if you can't realllllllllllly afford it right now, dont even worry about it.

i would go 360.. i have both.. and both are good.. microsoft is far better then sony.. xbox murderd playstation in the sales and in rating.. xbox won console of the year but a landslide several years.. the first year it was 97%.. espically since project natal is coming out this christmas.. no other consoles would be able to compete

Actually Since the slim came out ps3 has beaten 360 in sales and the ps3 is coming out with the playstation move to compete with natal but they are both very good systems

ok they are both good.. but think logically u have a computer company or a tv company... whose better.. the computer company.. xbox overall has murderd playstation since its been out.. espically in game sales.. xbox has more blockbusters games... i see in bout 2 years playstation getting kicked to the curb

A!!! f#ck all that i don't get red ring's! and i still got the very first 360.ahahahahahah. plus i got two more, i like the black best!!!! yeah black one! bill gate's fix'es the 360 for free thank you, so f#ck PS3 i'll take PS2 hahahahahah.

i have a 360 had 0 problems been 2 years with same system "elite"
but i do want blu ray and ps3 costs almost as much as a blu ray dvd so ill probably be switching soon but its based on preferences

I havent had any problems with my 360, and i have been having it for a little over a year..

PS3 has blu ray, which is a big seller for it.. I've never played on the PSN ****, but people say that XBOX Live is a lot better

i would like to see your facts of the ps3 getting kicked to the curb from your statement above you know nothing

I got a ps3 a couple years ago and loved it, but I was really the only one of my friends who had one. This past year I got an Xbox and I love it too. I think the online gaming is better on x box, but ps3 can do so much more. Now though I can play with alot of my friends on COD or Halo or something. I kept my ps3 though so I can buy blu-ray's and I plan on playing still

I have both systems and I know that this post is 100% opinion.

X360
Pros - good **** system (more players, smoother), reliable disc play
Cons - louder (a problem with me; maybe not for anyone else), red ring has been a problem (on my 3rd XBox), pay for Live

PS3
Pros - has bluray player, quieter, PSN is free, MLG runs with PS3
Cons - PSN doesn't have 100% of what live has to offer, a lot of tournaments in my area (San Diego / Southern CA) use X360

Final Thoughts - I love both. I dislike paying for Live, so I like the ps3 more. Plus, it is quieter

damn, didnt expect this many responses but thanks to everyone who put in a good opinion. I think ima get one before madden 11 but not anytime sooner. ya no?

I have and xbox and a ps3. Personally I prefer Xbox just because I believe Live is better. It's what like $50 for 12 months. Less than $5 a month.

From what I hear theres less glitching on 360 so you may wanna stay there. I have both systems (so dont kill me PS3 fans) so I would say keep your 360 (because of there many other games besides madden and online runs soooooo much better on 360) the 360 community is very good. I think the reason why the PS3 community is so big is because most of us 25 plus year olds who could afford a ps3 even at lunch fell in love with madden back with playstation 1, so going from PS1 to PS2 to PS3 is a natural progression.

You are soo right though I dont mind paying for live because live runs soo much better and my system can download while its sleep. Oh yea and I dont have to download a update EVERYTIME I want to play a new game, to avoid that is worth every cent LOL.

I think PS3 is a better system hardware wise but 360 is wayyy more user freindly
