46 Masters/Users

Im thinkin bout switching from nyj to the 46. I want to do something
thats different but is still solid that can throw something new at my
upcoming oponents. I kno its a good d but i have no clue how to run it
since i never ran it b4.

So if u kno n e thing that will help me improve (plays/setups, nanos, & schemes) ill gladly appreciate it...

Ok i don't have any plays and what not yet but i have a set up formation.

If i were you with the Redskins i would use Nickel Odd Split.

FS-L.Landry
SS- Chris Horton
CB3- K.Moore * Good for run support and 88 speed is still good. If you are playing a team like the Eagles, put him at SS and put Barnes at CB2.

Hall and Rogers for CB1 and CB2.

LE-Orkapo
DT- A.Haynesworth
DT2- J.Jarmon
RE-. A. Carter
MLB- London Fletcher
OLB- R.Macintosh

It's better for the Odd Split because the formation is essentially the same but takes advantage of the Redskins amazing secondary instead of that 3 deep LB core, and slow front is now fast because we can put Orkapo on the line.

i use the bears do you think 46 is a good set up for them.. i mean it worked for the 85' Bears lol

Yes the Bears can actually run any kind of defense they want. They are like 6 deep at LB and are like 7 deep at D-line if you include OLB being put at DE. Not to mention there secondary has great hands. So you can even go into a Dollar or Quarter and feel comfortable with all your hands being out there, with Briggs and Pisa at DE with Tommie Harris in the middle with Urlacher at MLB. Here was my Bears 4-6.

i think you could run pretty much any team in a 46, i cant think of one that would be bad in it.you can always move any 34 pass rushing OLBs to DE and theyll work out well, and 34 DEs can be put to DT

what setup would u have for 49ers ??

throw parys haralson on the line, move takeo to OLB, put justin smith inside. thats basically what i would do

actually depending on your preference, you can keep Smith at LE and throw sopoaga inside, or you can put smith at DT and Ahmad Brooks on the Line. then in pass-rush id put Lawson on the line. but this is a matter of preference, whether you prefer size/strength or speed. see what works best for you

wilkins u switch it so that your personnel best fits the situation.
example: a 34 Defensive end like Trevor Pryce cant rush the passer as well as a 43 DE. putting him at DT best utilizes his talents in a 4-man DLine

that makes since thats Fly; so who do you think i should put a FS?

Ok listen very closely, Wilfork and Franklin are the only DT's under 60 speed that see the field under me, so he is a beast.

and ant i didnt pay attention to 9ers roster updates...but i think id still put in mike lewis at SS if he hasnt dropped. if u can hitstick he just mashes peeople

Lewis is too slowww I prefer Reggie Smith at SS

you could always jus sub lewis in at LB to spell one of your OLB's or just sub lewis in when you suspect run and your more agile saftey in when you suspect pass.

I'm usually good with 46 setups but the Viks have me stumped....

i would use them like this:

LE- ray edwards- OVR 82
RE- jared allen- OVR 99
DT's- kevin williams & pat williams- OVR 97 & 91
LOLB- ben leber- OVR 80
MLB- E.J. henderson
ROLB- chad greenway- OVR 88
CB's- cedric griffin & asher allen- OVR- 82 & 69
FS- tyrell johnson- OVR 74
SS- antoine winfield- OVR 99

- i like the line just like it is, its beastly like that, the backers i guess you could play allen there but you wont be utilizing his finess moves as much so i like him at end, greenway, leber, and henderson are all solid linebackers and with brinkley backing them up it gives you real nice depth, asher allens OVR rating sucks but he has 89 speed and 87 zone so he can hold his own in zones coverages as can griffin, i like playing winfield at SS cuz the SS is in the box in the 46 and he's the biggest hitting corner in the game 2nd to only my boy sheldon brown, so you get his hitting abilities and his 95 zone rating, and lastly you got tyrell johnson at FS now if i was using this team and this setup i would be usering the FS and tyrell johnson is perfect 6'0 with 89 speed and 92 jumping so he's perfect for usering the middle of the field. this is what i would do if i was running the 46 with the vikings, lemme know what you think.
