| They will still be terrible. I think Strasburg should be really good this year if he stays healthy. Saw his highlights the other day. Looked pretty good for his first time in the majors. | |

| You don't think he is going to skip the minors Beaner? I think he is National's best pitcher in the rotation. No need to get him "warm up games" in the minors. Let him on the team and enjoy the increasing ticket sales on the days he starts. Everyone wants to see this guy in the majors already. I give him 12-15 wins only because the offense sucks. | |

| That on pitcher is in the minors to begin the season, which is where he needs to be. No need to rush the kid. This team still is in rebuilding mode so lets give them a year or 2 before they compete for a title. | |

| They are only sending him to the minors so they can keep him an extra year. He is their best pitcher. He will be called up before the All-Star break. | |

| They won't let him on the team opening day because that's when his contract will start. They will keep him in the minors so it delays his free agency and arbitration eligibility. Here is the full story on it and the reasons why he was sent to minors. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/nationalsjournal/2010/03/why_the_timing_of_strasburgs_m.html | |

| I heard it was also to let him fix his delivery to the plate. | |

| Yeah. He isn't as dominant when runners are on and he is pitching from the stretch. But what pitcher is better from the stretch than the full windup?Pitching from the stretch is just uncomfortable. | |

| No one is better from the stretch then from the wind up but u can be very similar in stats whenur a great pitcher like Pedro from 97-02 or lincecum right now.. Point being if strasburg wants to be greathe needs time in double A to work on his stretch delivery. Otherwise he may end up getting rocked and lose all his confidence! | |
