Mw2, When do i use my secondary weapon?

When do i soppose to use my secondary weapon, im thinking about a shotgun, or a michine pistol. When do i use the weapons? i wanna get kills with my secondary weapon so i could unlock more shyt, but i be lost on when to use my secondary becuase i constantly use my primary gun.

there is a skill that us FPS'ers have developed over the years called SWAP or SWITCH. and it is exactly what is sounds....

you see an enemy, you engage him, you kill him.... OH NO ANOTHER ENEMY!!!! NO TIME TO RELOAD! AIM! SHOOT!!!!! OUT OF AMMO!!!! SWIIIIITCH GUNNNNNNNNNS!!!!!!!!!!!!

when your clip is running low, be prepared to switch guns. switching guns is always faster than reloading.

also you can kill anyone with any gun when you sneak up on a camper.

orrrrrrrrrrrr start using a riot shield, and when you find a game, block all his bullets, get him centered in your screen, pull out your gun and blast him away.

hey man, i use my secondary weapon alot more then my primary..as eggz said it is good to switch to your secondary weapon if you are low on ammo and all that good stuff. hell, you can even switch to your secondary for when you are sniping and you know someone is pretty close by...thats what i do....one time this dude on wasteland try to come from my side and i knew he was coming cause of the red dot on the radar screen....so i walked off to the other side to go behind him and then shotty came out...when that when down, SPLAT...ol buddy's brains splattered on some junked up cars...for real, i use my secondary weapon alot..that would be my m1014 shotty....its lovely.....maybe you should use the m1014....

your secondary weapon should usually used a little as possible but if your on a map in close quarters like favela and etc.... the shotgun is the best to have cause its a one shot one kill, which is what i use. Also try and design a class around a map type if its a map with alot of airspace i.e: estate, rundown, derailed, and so on, equip a stinger so those aircrafts that get called in ( cause they will get called in) whip out the stinger and take them down! but if its a map thats close quarters like favela, karachi, skid row, etc. equip a shot gun and get to work. i dont everrrrr use the pistols unless im using a default class.

Never played the game. But all FPS' are the same. If you're running out of ammo while doing some killing, and you have lil to no time to reload, pull out your secondary. If you know it's coming on, (no ammo) and you have a shotgun you should try to get closer to him before you switch.

i forgot to mention the stuff big hungry did about when to use the secondary guns and all....it is important to use your secondary guns like the shotties on all the small maps....personally, the only time i don't use the shotty that much is on the huge maps like afghan, wasteland, etc....on the big maps, i will get busy with the acr......

play BF BC2 instead , its more fun

if im not runnin out of ammo. Do i use the secondary when tryin to clear house? or @ a place i kno alot of ppl run by? iim talkin bout diff situations on hen 2 use em

no sirrr. you NEVER use your secondary to clean a house unless its a shotty, they by all means do work. i personally think pistols are useless unless its the G18, which is beast so between those 2 im sure you can find a good balance

Like hungry said, use the shotty if you want to do cleanup work...if I know a lot of people are camping at one spot together, I will throw a flashbang in that spot and blind those guys before I run in to get them with the shotty..sometimes I will run up on 3 guys together and get a triple kill with the shotty....I don't care about dying at all...I will do some wreckless stuff to people and get away with it quite a bit.....
