having trouble with my dazzle

I have a dazzle for mac and use it to record from my xbox now it usually has been working but now when i hook everything up i get the audio thats playing from the game but i dont get the picture all it says is no singal. any help?

this is where you do some troublshooting!

unhook the XBOX, attach your dvd player and see if you can get a picture (just in case make sure the DVD is NOT setup for progressive display). if you can now get a picture okay then its NOT the dazzle.

1. I'm guessing the dazzle's max resolution is 480p, make sure your xbox is NOT setup at 720p or 1080p.

2. If you have an older video cable that has the TV / HDTV slider make sure its NOT set to HDTV.

If no matter what you hookup to the dazzle and you cannot get a picture you can try some other things:

Try a different video cable.

or Re-install whatever software you use to capture video. it's possible a setting/option was changed preventing it from working properly.

If you can get an alternate video capture program to display a picture okay, then you definately know theres nothing physically wrong with your hardware, cabling, or xbox.

Yo 360 I got a question man. I have pinnacle studio 11. I can record my PS3 games but I can't record straight from My tv know what i'm saying?? I would like to record something from my TV but it doesn't let me. Anyway you think I could do that? I can get stuff off of my Video camera to I just can't record regular TV.

yeah make sure you're using the right quality. whether its component, HD, S-Video... make sure you have the software you are recording with matched up with your xbox and tv.

Well I have the yellow white and red wires.

Well I have the yellow white and red wires.

go ahead and unplug your xbox and plug in those cables from your cable box or satellite receiver in its place.
