Nba live 2009 : Team play

Well this is the best feature ever created to me. The ability to play as one player on a team of 5 with everyone thinking with a mind of there own, everyone having diffrent roles(scorer, rebounder, Point gaurd passer.)

This year theyre are new features that are going to revolutionize the way team play is played in my oppinion.

First off i would like to say that team play can be played ranked this year.

The rankings system for the new ranked version of team play is somthing i never expected but maybe but one of if not the best feature on team play 09. It is not just like a regular leaderboard like we are used to, It is a set of 12 divisions, everyone starts off on divison 12 , eventually all the best teams are going to be in division 1.

Theyre will be a team message board , YES!!! this means that there will be official teams this year not just a team that you say you are on.

But on the team message board you can set goals like '' we need to reach divison 11 by the end of the week.''

They will also be keeping official stats for you and other online players , so if you want to recruit the best center online you can check his stats and send him a team invite.

But if you are a stud player but your team is only in division 5 because of lack of talent , you can try out for a division 1 team by sending a request to try out and yes there are official team tryouts. Or they can send you a team invite.

So teams will rise and fall now a team could suck one day but the next they could pick up a stud point gaurd and start to dominate.


a team could be realy good one day but the next theyre best player doesnt want to be on that team anymore or gets anothere team invite and leaves.


but the teams will not be called teams they will be called clubs.

theyre will be a menu of club achievemnes such as first club win or enter division 11 or so on.


But on to the new gameplay additions



You can now set screens and box out for rebounds in team play.

this is going to open up more realistic gameplay for team play.






All in all team play is seeming like it will be a very coll feature on nba live 09.

fresh, will this be on the ps2 online too?

if it is, it will be the sole reason ill buy nba live. cuz that sounds like a GREAT feature. its like having individual players on the field for madden. now that would be my dream for the game!

I'll rent it first, NBA games I just can't get into them (Prolly cause I don't really like Basketball) now honestly if this feature were to come out in a baseball game that would be legit.. or Football that would be sweet (QB, TE, RB, WR, SS, FS, CB, LB) that would be disgusting.. but we'll see how it all goes down! I'll rent it to check it out.. but this feature will also be in NHL, and Fifa so I will be picking both of them up.. but who's ready for Fight Night Round 4.. I know I am!! "Iron" Mike Tyson will be in it!!

NBA 2K9'S TEAM PLAY WILL OWN LIVE. DATS Y 2K HAS OUT SOLD LIVE THE PAST 3 YRS.

Thats why no one plays 2k9

It should be comingin the first few months its out on the ps2 but i pretty sure it wont be on it as soon as it coms out
