Screens!

does anyone know good ways of stoping screens.even when i know they are coming i cant stop em.its ******* wack as ****.especially when people cheese it.its mostly the 5 wide wr screen that i gots problems with.any help would be appreciated.

If I know it's coming I play the corner on the side with 3 wrs or I'll audible to man. This works for me.

Take control of the DE and shoot him over to the side the screen is being set up to, your DE won't get to the QB anyway if he is setting up a screen. If you know for sure it is a screen, use Man Coverage and get your DE over there.

make sure you have your flats covered and put the person you are controlling over there but dont make it so they know that u know it's coming.

Most of the time DE Contains work. You can also manually use a D-lineman.

If you ever want to predict what KC Killa is about to type? Just read the response just before his, he just says the exact same thing, every single time. If you don't believe me just go look at previous posts, he never says anything important, he just agrees with the person before or rephrases what they say.

On that note though: In my opinion he is the best contributor to this website. The knowledge he possesses is invaluable. We would all be lost without his thoughtful, amazing, wonderful, insightful input.

There is no way to stop the screen consitintly unless that is his only play then you would know its coming.

if its a brick wall on the RB or a shutdown Corner on the WR, they can consistently stop em

everyone keeps doing the screen to me i just get my linebacker and from their formation i no what side it is on and when he hikes it i go to tht spot and stop it and they get negative yards

I do the same exact thing

I use cover 2 man out of dime. This works on the wr screens every time for me. As far as the rb ones I just user a DE and hang out over in the area its coming to. You can get a pick every once in a while too.
