Release vs beat press?

Hey guys, whats do the ratings for "release" and "beat press" dictate for offensive skill players? I thought beat press was how quick a receiver can beat the corners when they are pressed but after a quick google search it appears that "release" is actually the rating that dictates this. Whats the difference between the two?

Also, does anyone have a link to a thread or a site that gives specific descriptions of what every rating dictates?

Pretty sure "Release" is how fast a receiver gets off of the LOS. Beat Press is how good a receiver can beat press.

OK, after looking at it more it seems like when you're at the online depth chart, the "release" rating doesn't exist, and when you're on the Ultimate Team depth chart, the "beat press" rating doesn't exist. It seems like they're actually the same thing but EA messed up the naming for different modes. If I'm wrong about this, let me know. Best I could figure.
