I'm wondering what your thoughts are on this play that I've started to use. It's the Cover 2 in the 3-4 solid in the SD playbook, and I spread the zones to sidelines, take one of my MLB's and put them in a deep zone, then my DT in a yellow zone directly where the MLB I put in a deep zone was. I put my DE's in contain and user one of them to put some form of heat on the QB, or I just user my DT or other MLB in yellow zones. It seems to work well because of the fact it covers the flats, then in between the flats and deep zones with the purple zones, and then with the 2 deep safeties spread on to side lines. The MLB also covers the middle pretty well. It's done wonders for me. I used it on a 4th and 4 with the game on the line. No one open. What do you think?

Anyone tried this???? I wanna make sure that it doesn't have a lot of holes, and I don't have too much time to play and lab that version of the Cover 2.

well arent you observant ac3r. i think its a good zone but it has no pressure what so ever. if the qb stays in the pocket and doesnt scramble you will get no pressure and they will for sure find someone open with enough time. i would at least have one guy blitzing, like only put 1 de in contain or something. and if you streak a te or slot reciever, that middle linebacker play the deep middle with not be able to get back in time and you will get beat deep. its a good play, but dont run it every down
