Patch #2 Wants

1.) I personally want them to make the run game better. I can't seem to be able to explode and break out long runs like i could in previous years. When EA was hyping up the game, all they talked about was the new break away feature (how the running back could always break tackles no matter what). I like the new feature BUT it always seems like the running back's momentum goes backwards and loses yards.

2.)SPEED--Brian Westbrook gets caught by the noestackle. Now i ask you...How is that possible? It looks as if the players are running in slow motion. It's ridiculous!!!

3.) Pass Rush needs to be improved in the next patch. i cannot seem to get a solid, consistant pass rush no matter what. If i do a play that gets to the qb and do it again the next play, it will not get to him.

4.) Get rid of all the gay glitches and stupid Sh!t!!!that hb/wr direct snap thing is effing gay and i hate how people do it time after time.

***EA has some work to do, and i hope they don't just release the patch so that people know they are sticking to their word. I would rather them take the time to actually make the game better.

5.) It would also be cool if players could complete a deep ball every once in a while. lol. I mean i have the cb beat with owens and i will bullet the pass to him so it shouldn't give the cb time to catch up...but guess what??? he still does. Plz EA, fix this

i agree with every oneof those except for #3. those are all things that need to be changed immediately. however, i do not think that their should be a play that gets pressure every time, i like the fact that you are taking a chance when blitzing, not noeing that you will get instant pressure on a qb. all the other ones i htink you hit right on the nose, fudgy, great post.

I actually love the new running game, you just need to find a new way of playing it.

In past games you just had to sprint right through, but in this one you can't sprint all the time, you have to find a real hole and use it.

And I use the Eagles alot, and the only time I get hit by a D-Tackle with Westbrook is when I run up the middle.

give a better notice for when someone is inviting you to a game in a lobby for ps3. all it does is gives u a little lightning bolt next to their name for about 2 seconds and then disappears.

Less dropped balls would be real nice,i've never seen so many dropped passes..

Although one thing I'd like to see is a receiver who's not 6'4 220 be able to make a good catch.

1. Not so many deflected balls
2. have the QB sneak NOT work every single time for at leat 2 yds
3. Make it possible to return an INT (only way possible now is unless you pick one off when they are throwing it in the flats)
4.Update Jets rating (they are not a 78)
5. Make it impossible for me to lose, have all the fumbles, ints, ect. go my way

Just sort names by invite in the lobby thats what i do.

i've always hated that.

i hope that when you pass it 5 to 10 yards over the linemen your recievers actually react to the pass. it will hit them in the legs and they dont even try to catch it.

have it so the players actually get tired. I don't know how many people i have played who do hurry ups every play, and the quarter back is still bombing passes for about 30-40 yards. It's pretty unrealistic if u ask me. I mean if Brodie Croyal can consistently throw a bullet pass about 12 times in a row then there is something wrong.

*Can EA try to be realistic and have refs on the field?

*Have specific team commentators!!!

*Put the head coach sidelines in madden. they are so realistic

I know EA won't add these features in and i won't be surprised. You see, if there was competition against EA with another football game, then i bet they would step their game up....BUT.....there isn't so they are just gonna sit back and count their money

i wish the defensive backs wouldnt just sit there when your opponent throws the ball and actually break to the ball. also the linebackers jump way to high

Fudgy I'll give you a shout out on the next patch... bring back "strafe catching" so when you have owens open down Field by 10 yrds on a deep pass and the CB some how makes this up even when you bullet pass... at least if you could strafe and jump for the ball like in NCAA 09 maybe then someone could complete a deep pass on a more constant level. OW! thats right they wanted the game to be fair to newbies and pros alike... so that means no deep passing this year... thx's EA! what was you thinking.

i return interceptions just fine go watch my highlights on easportsworld. n sry fudgy but i dnt agree with u on number 3 either in the real nfl the same play wont work. n deep balls should be lobs not bullet passes. all i want r the glitches fixed n them to make accelerating out of the backfield better other than that im good.

You still can come back and catch it, it's just harder because you can't strafe.

I strafe caught without strafing yesterday with Kevin Curtis.

Yeah! Trying to do a u-turn manually in place of strafe is very "frustrating" and leads to a "user pick" doing a curl route is a hole lot easier and safer... Please make a new topic and post how you manèged to strafe.

First off, let me say I do enjoy playing 09 for the most part. I hope they can fix the bugs that stop Madden 09 from being as good as it can be. I'm playing the PS3 version and experiencing the following issues:

1. I get freezing at the playcall screen after a bum wants a "friendly quite" and I decline... they quite and finish against the cpu. This is my biggest complaint. I can hear the game action in the background, but the screen is frozen and about 40% of the time I receive a online loss and DNF% increase. The only way to get out of this frozen state is to restart the ps3
2. Misinformation from the commentator. Playing with the Bears, Collinsworth stated Grossman has passed for his tenth touchdown of the season., but it was my first PRESEASON game.
3. RB/FBs running out of bounds on flat and screen passes. From what i've read online it seems this problem is being looked at.
4. Players celebrating TDs are walking through the stadium walls.
5. The crowd noise is wrong. Pumping up the crowd does nothing.
6. Defenders in the backfield on most run plays. I'm able to get around this, but the fact that defenders are always pass the LOS on almost every run play no matter what difficulty I've played on is bad.
7. Franchise scouting. I haven't seen any change in the info given for players, even if I scout them all season.
8. The progression of players is off. Not sure if this is a bug, or done on purpose, but the progression doesn't reward players that have great seasons or punish players that have bad ones.
9. The field stays exactly the same no matter the weather. Minor issue, but I would still like to see the field as muddy as the players.
10. Backtrack cuts off in preseason. Again, minor issue, but it never completed an explanation from Collinsworth in four preseason games. It starts, then goes right to the next play.

I totally agree in the commentary(didn't read the rest). One time I threw for a first down and Chris Collinsworth said "Tackled for a loss". Not to mention I hate hearing his voice. Most of the time I just turn commentary off.

Also I expierience GAME freezing if I press yes to the virtual trainer after a game, but my system doesn't freeze, I can still press the xbox guide but nothing happens in the game, which caused me to lose my IQ after I got it to 665 because I couldn't save.
