Stopping the flanker screen

It really blows when you shut a guy down in all parts of the game, but every time he throws the damn flanker screen its a long one or a td. I generally play 1-5-5 cover 3 or a 3-4 cover 2or 3, then zone the coverage to the sidelines. Seems all the wr has to do is break one tackle or juke and it's of the the races. Moss, B Marshall, S Holmes when you play a guy that uses that play it just kills me.

when you run the flanker screen it works best if they zone blitz. so go man and don't blitz. hot route your outside backer, de, or safety to the flat

Generally these guys don't throw it deep because they can't! But they can throw a flanker screen for 75 yards all day lol!!

Put your defensive end on a contain and slide the line to the flanker side.

If I see a certain formation.. example Shotgun: Doubles. I play cover 3 and switch to the LB in covering the flats that I know the screen is going to.
