No More Cones

It looks like there is no more vision cones on Madden 09 for ps2. There are some good reasons not to have this feature and there are good reason to keep it. An improvement would have been just to highlight under the reciever once you lock on to him. The vision cone was always an extra click or adjusting the analog stick so it would give the defense the extra time to make a play. I like good defensive battles that turn the game into a chess match so I would have been fine with keeping the cone if EA made an improvement.

I like the fact they took the cone out because that stops your opp from following it. Just like Ncaa 09 theirs no cone but you can throw it high, low, etc. But I don't need a cone to know were my opp is going. Sometimes I can just read the formation they come out of were the going to automatically.

I like it and dont like it, it makes offense easier but defense harder. You can't really predict who the offense is going to throw to now.

you can go to game play settings and turn QB avoidence off and putt the vision cone off

QB vision is still on madden 09 for PS2. You just have the new feature, QB Avoidance, on. You can turn that off, and use the vision. I never really liked the vision because if you play against a real person or even the computer you know where they are going to pass it.

Are you kidding i loved faking out the guys that play DBs or LBs it was so easy to do and many times they would quit after i burnt them 2 or 3 times it was an aspect of the game i enjoyed and was sad when i didnt have it this year it makes the QBs a little less accurate this year and that hurts a pass heavy player like me.I will miss seeing a guy run to where i just put my cone just so i could switch to the opp side of the field and watch him come up 20 yards short of making it back lol it was a weapon
