| Josh Freeman had 205 yards 3 tds and 1 int....he is the future of the buccaneers! The bucs D had 4 sacks 3 ints a td and a bloked punt for a td. They played a great game all around...what do you guys think of josh freeman? | |

| not taking anything away from what tampa did, but i do think green bay was/is overrated. and i also think Josh johnson is the future of tampa, not freeman. the D looked good and if they can play like that then maybe they can get some more wins. i dont really think there that far away from being a pretty average team | |

| josh johnson had his chance and didn't stand out, today freeman did. freeman is basically a donovan mcnabb but taller and weighs a little more...he is huge 6'6" 248lbs.! | |

| are you calling a few games for a guy in his second game a chance? and that freeman is the savior after only 1 good game? johnson made some plays and showed some promise but was pulled because they spent a first round pick on this kid | |

| look, johnson had a few games to see if he could get a win....he didn't. He had four full games and had 4 passing tds 8 ints and 1 fumble lost....he didn't get it done, and no im not saying freeman is for sure the answer but after today...he looks like tampa bay's future. And they didnt even have antonio bryant, our beat wr and deep threat! | |

| 4 games for a guy who is in his second year is not enough time to make up your mind on him. he needs time, just like every other young QB | |

| Lets give freeman some more time, and let some teams get some film on him And lets not forget that josh johnson played against the number 1,3,4,7 and #11 ranked pass D when he did play | |

| LOL @ the packers.. they r soo underrated its not funny.. aaron rodgers is good and all.. but that offense is no where near how explosive it should b.. did anyone see week 1 packers vs bears?? jay cutler threw 4 PICKS and the bears lost on the last drive!!! 4 FUCKIN PICKS!! when an opponent throws 4 picks in a game plus a few other turnovers, it should b a blowout!! it came down to the last drive!! that o should b sooo good right now.. they need sum OTs hahaha | |

| freeman is clearly better, no doubt....go get all the stats you want, it doesn't matter. Just because you are a fan of a qb dont say he is better than he really is, because josh johnson is not good...enough said | |

| Not a fan, but gonna throw my 2 cents in anyway.
Josh Freeman will be the starting Quarterback for the forseeable future. He is simply put, better.

| I'd be surprised if the Bucs reach 5 wins. Anyways, Freeman showed some potential in that game. PLEASE STOP saying he's "the future" when he played only ONE game. The whole team did an outstanding job, and the QB added his share, but don't view him like the savior of this franchise. May I remind you that, last year, everyone was like "Omg Cassel is a revelation, he's going to be a very great QB". If we take a look at Cassel today, we can say he's far from being a great QB. | |

| Josh johnson played against almost every top Pass D in the NFL and your gunna jump to conclusions saying he isnt good? all im saying is that i think johnson is the better of the 2 and freeman got his chance because they spent a first round pick on him. i also think its wrong that your saying johnson isnt good and that i can throw out all these stats that dont matter when your using stats to 'prove' freeman is the future. now im really gunna lay some stuff down for you... Josh johnson played against teams in the top 11 in pass d. Freeman went 14-31 completing less then 50% of his passes and of his 205 yards over half of them were YAC (yards after the catch). showing his WR made some plays for him to make him look better then he really was. J.Johnson completed 50% or more in 3 of his 5 games he played in and his total stats look worse then they really are because of 1 really bad game vs NE. add in the fact he can run and he has and will account for more yards then freeman did in his 1 game that showed he is the savior. moral of the story....stop jumping to conclusions and saying one guy is bad and the other is the franchise half way through the season. drew brees took years to turn into a great QB. it takes more then half a season | |

| I don't think anybody feels he is a franchise QB. Hell he's not even that great, but he is their future. Does that mean he is a superstar, no. Just means they are committed to making it work for him. That's all. | |

| You dont spend a first round pick on player who will just be average. he was picked to be there franchise QB for years to come | |

| A quarterback for your franchise and a franchise QB are two totally different things. A franchise quarterback is Manning, Brady, etc. A person who can come into any team and make them better.
A starting quarterback for your franchise that's different. Look around plenty of not so great QBs starting now.
He was picked 17th in the first round. Not top ten, not top 5, of course they want him to be great. But that is not reality. Look at Vince Young, Cade McNown, Ryan Leaf.
I believe they "expect" him to work hard, be a leader... etc. But if he is an average starting quarterback, then you did pretty well with your 17th overall pick.
If every first round pick was a great player, in 10 years we'd have over 300 great players. Not very realistic.
You're just not gonna get a "Franchise Quarterback" at the 17th pick.

| so your saying they went into that draft thinking "well he is prolly gunna be an average QB at the NFL level so lets take him." no...they thought he could be the franchise QB down the road cause he is a raw talent right now. | |
