Hit stick, he'll fumble it. Also, try some 3-4 nanos, having 4 LBs should help rather than having 4 big d line men who can run with him for more than 3 yards.

If you know he is running, call a defense with your fastest team on the field (Dime/Nickel/Quarters) and switch to man and if his icon is "Y" I usually hot route a DB or fast LB to man up on him. Also hot route your line to toward the way you think the run is going.

I like to shift my players to whichever side has the most potential blockers and control the safety. Usually he'll break 1 or 2 of your linebacker's tackles but it'll slow him down so that you can knock him out with your safety.

yeah you cant really flat out stop him unless the guy your playing is garbage but just use run blitzes like bring 2 extra lbs on a blits and i user my mlb every play so that helps me stop the run but just play and try diff stuff till something works for you because it depends on the team you use and who you are when you play and obviously how good you are

tryin to strip him is possibly THE DUMBEST idea i have ever heard.. if u play sumone who is a highlight stick allstar (tries to break off of every tackle but juking, etc.) AP will BURN that d.. he breaks almost every tackle if u try to strip..

i say pick a team wit a lot of hit power and hit stick that azz!! i mean u can try to strip but only when u forsure have the tackle on him and when hes startin to fall to the ground.. thats the only time id recommend tryin to strip him.. he 99 tuff when u try to strip
