Madden Lobies Freeze up my Ps3 ...anyone else?

Hey All, I have followed this forum and appreciate everyone's plethora of thoughts and info.

Untill today I've just been a reader, but now I have a question....

I have the new Slim ps3 (bout 2 weeks old) along with 10mb internet



I can play the game fine, I can do the mini games fine but about 70% of the time when I go into the Beginners Lobby my system will freeze once it loads the chat room. Sometimes I can hit the ps3 button and quit the game and sometimes its a total lockdown


What in the world is causing this.... As I am writing this Ive restarted 3 times and its done it all 3 times, (other info, The beginners rooms I have tried have ranged from 10users to 27 users.)

Please input your advice here, Id love to know if there is anyone else having this issue!

Honestly , I bought the slim line ps3 2 weeks ago and a copy of madden10

It started doing it so I called Best Buy told them and they exchanged both the system and the game .... I get it home and bout 2 days later (only 5 games in) it started doing it, I just avoided the chats all together but got tired of the Auto Play becuz seems everyone always wants to be the vikes lol so I went back to the lobbies and WAHLA Freeze City!!



Please let me know if you get anywhere, maybe they can patch it in the next update I wonder..I cant believe we're the only 2 ppl who have complained

Its happened to alot of users.. Idk why.
Hopefully they will find the cause of this and fix it.

Personally I think these new ps3 slim lines have a cheaper and less quality processor ... I guess thats prolly y its down to 299 instead of the 500 it was. My old one had the code of death occur which of course I didnt have a warranty, but I sure as hell do now.

I wonder if anyone with the original ps3 is having issues, ...Chime in as to your model so we can gather our own info...

Wonder why EA hasn't addressed this issue yet, I assume its been happening since the release

i have been trying to e-mail ea about this but i got so many pass words i had to go through the forgot password channel and they aint got back to me yet any one else want a go?

I've Called (to no avail) , Emailed (to no avail) and just today sent out a snail mail letter to the address on the madden box and ps3 box. I figured the problem is either with EA or Sony , either way Im MAD AS HELL and not going to take it! lmao, but seriously it does piss me off!

Today was a good day, no freezes , I was online from Noon till bout 4ish, Just a lil more info to add to this post

It doesn't matter which PS3 you have, it's the EA servers.

My PS3 does the same thing. I can sometime hit the PS button and choose "Quit Game", but sometimes my whole system just freezes and i have to hold the button down for like 7 secs. Or i just pull the pug and restart. EA has to fix this problem. This make me sacrifice headset games because recently ive been choosin "Play Now"

Obbie, Same thing for me too, sometimes u can Ps3 button it and others have to restart the console

Driving me nuts thats for sure.

I have noticed that it has yet to do it when i go into like the East or West Coast rooms. It could be mere coincidence I dunno , I just started going in there. But I hate playing lvl 14 cheezers so I find it harder to get decent games.

All I want for Xmas is EA to fix this!!!!

i just got the number to EA and imma phone them soon as i get this problem.

Todate I've Called both EA and Sony, Emailed both, and Wrote snail mail to them.

I also posted a message on the website for the guy who does the ratings update weekly.

I have to think they atleast are aware of the issue.
