| No it's bullshit because you're running goal line every play and it takes a minimal amount of skill to run. | |

| bullshit or not, who cares. Technically coming up with a scheme is bullshit as well because you can run it most of the game, but it doesn't matter. Just like the wildcat guys who mix it in, let them do that because once there done they have nothing else to throw in with it thats as good as what you shut down. | |

| there goes hof bitching about something else being gay/cheap/cheese/takes no skill again... lol. just stop it dude it can be stopped but it's hard to stop, thats y ppl run it. seriously someone should make a thread of u quoting all the things u say are gay or bullshit...
it only becomes a all game thing if u can't stop it. u shut it down i bet he comes out of it real quick.
but OP off tackle from goalline won Dallas this year with michael turner so i would say that it might be the FB dive of this year.

Yeah I know I just think it should be played like a real football game, but I guess that's why I'm not one of the best. I just don't like using things that are way too hard to stop. I like to be challenged on both offense and defense.

| ok i see your stance. i was a little rude. i understand the SIM players out there but theres this great quote out there that i heard that spells out exactly how i feel about it (me not being a sim player). these 2 guys were arguing over playing SIM or tourny and quote goes something like:
"this is madden not football. you don't need football knowledge to play madden. do you need mechanics training to play a nascar game? do you need to go through basic training to play Call of Duty? do you not use radar on COD4 after 3 kills because that's not what happens in real combat?"
the way i see it, it's a video game so lets play to win. my hands are only tied by the programming and not by some arbitrary set of rules to keep it realistic. i'm willing to push my game to the limits of effectiveness bounded by the rules of the video game.

| then obiously u dont want to be good. Find something that works and run it until someone can stop it. Thats all u do to win. Madden isn't hard. | |

| Im with hof8231 on this one, I played a dude that ran it the whole game, I can stop it for the most part but its that few times it does work that kills me, by all means if it works use it.. however who runs the same damn play the whole game, that type of game is boring and lame. and shows a lack of skill, i use the vikings but i dont run ap the whole game a change backs run play actions.

| i can agree with both sides..it is hard as hell to stop and for some ppl this is how they like to play ...i am a sim player myself and like to use my knowledge of football to play the game and not just some bs..but can i hate on that man for what he is doing...no ..cuz we have to remember it is a game..and most likely if he is doing this all game he has tons of weaknesses every where else just find them. | |

| Put QB Sneak, Power O, Strong Toss, and HB Pitch in your audibles. Come out in a shotgun play audible down to the QB Sneak, if the middle is open you'll get 4-6 yards almost every time, if he jams the middle run to the outside, that simple but very effective. | |

| I use goalline a lot, and I use gun split a lot.
I use the arizona playbook because I like the lineup and the toss out of it. I put my second string left tackle in as third string TE. Then use him for motion to the middle in the FB Dive, or ISO or HB Dive. Then you can still motion to the inside and run power o, just ssnap a little quicker and he will still get a block in for you. Just follow the OT sub through and then make your move. After you got em thinking inside run go outside, then do a PA Power O to the FB (Y).
I do not have an internet connection, (just my lil' google phone) but I have put up over 1000 yards and 100 points regularly against the box on all madden with just these 2 schemes. Goalline and Gun Split.
I am just curious, Who here has broken the 1000 yard barrier or the 100 point mark?

| Another great benefit of the goalline scheme is the substitutions you can use. You can substitute offensive linemen for tight ends and sub your backs and sub your QB. Basically it is easy to sub the whole lineup without taking much of a talent loss. Leaving ypur opponnents defense gasssed. | |
