Smart Route

Can anyone here tell me how to use the R3 smart route.

just highlight the player and click on right stick (press it in) only certain routes can be smart routed, it is really used for a route that doesn't make the first down, so you smart route it and it will go over the first down line

So it just modifies how far a route is run?

yup go in practice mode and click on r3 you will see the route change, say if you on 5 yard line and your slot receiver is on a 15 yard slant in you r3 it and it will do like a 7 yard slant, trust me you will use smart routes alot

It also can create unique unbumpable routes so if you see an odd route always check to see if it can be smart routed, because it could somehow create a mismatch play.
