Nickel Blitz

Blitzing from Nickel Strong - Cover 2.
Attacks Shotgun and under-center QBs.

1. Shift the linemen left
2. Shift all the LBs left. Note: this step is needed to obtain the new blitz angle!
3. Blitz the farthest left linebacker (ROLB) Make sure his blitz angle is diagonal!
4. Move him in the left B-gap as shown in the video.
5. Reblitz the RE (defensive end on the left side of the screen) straight down.



Nickel 3-3-5: Cover 3 Blitz

• pinch line and crash outward
  
• reblitz DT
  
• blitz all LBs
  
• place LBs above guards and another in left a-gap

Pre Snap Adjustments I make. :

1. Shift your line to the left
2. Re Blitz your left DT
3. Bring your FS between your two defensive lineman
4. Hot route your blitzing linebacker into a yellow zone.




Works out of both Cloud Zone 3 and Cover 2.
1. Shift the line left.
2. Globally shift all LBs left and blitz the left OLB(ROLB), He should get a new diagonal blitz angle.
3. Move that OLB next to the left defensive end(RE).

Steps 1 and 2 can be done even before the players reach the LOS, making this blitz very easy to setup.
Back up the left side OLB off the LOS to increase the chance of a b-gap type blitz.

You have the option to hotroute the right-side defensive end (LE) into coverage because his pass rush is not needed for the blitz to work.



Nickel Normal: Nickel Fire Nano Blitz



for attacking QB's playing under center.
Setup #1
1. pinch line, blitz all LBs.
2. place an LB over center.

3. move other LB over the b-gap and back up a few steps.


Setup 2

1. pinch line, blitz all LBs.
2. place an LB over center.
3. place other LB over a-gap.
4. hotblitz the DT on opposite side of field.
(ie: if attacking right a-gap, reblitz DT on left side)
