How to Recall Man in Motion?

Is there a way to recall a man in motion before he goes entirely across the formation? I'll send a man in motion to get a read on the defense, but I don't want him to go all the way to other side of the field. I'd like to send him just a little bit then make him go back, but I can't seem to do that. Instead the guy goes all the way to the other side, then I can send him back and it takes about 10-15 seconds off the play clock?
