before the snap on defense, pressing R2 brings up a preplay contols menu and offers 'spotlight' options assigned to the wrs, te and/or rb. i press a button assigned to a player and nothing happens. well, it appears that way at least. just curious if anyone can explain this and how it be can used.

spotlight is basically making your defense pay more attention to that dude .. it doesn't show up when you playing head to head offline but it should show up as a orange ring around the receiver you spot lightted if you playing online or vs computer

It really doesnt do anything. Some guy was throwing to his TE all game.. I had spotlight and double TE on, and he was still open lol... The AI is horrible.

YUP THIS WAS DUMPING IT OFF TO JACOBS ON A OUT PATTERN AND WAS KILLING ME I HAD HIM 4TH AND GOAL AT THE 5 AND I KNEW HE WAS GOING FOR THAT PLAY CALLED ME DEE AND HIGHLIGHTED HIS ASS AND HE STILL SCORED
