Hey guys, been playin madden since the old sega days and since that i have always played it on pc but now that madden is no longer coming out on pc i am buying a console.
I am almost 100% sure i am going to get a PS3 but thought i would ask what you guys think.

I have always played Playstation and intend on playing Madden '10 online, I got the cash and was intending on going in and buying the game and the console today but thought it would be best to wait and hear what you guys all have to say.

PS3 IS NICE I HAVE ONE, BUT I RECOMEND XBOX BTTR GRAPHICS MORE PEPLE ON IT, AND GAMEPLAY JUST FEELS MORE SMOOTH

Playstations are like $300 extra here in Australia, so having to pay to play online isnt that big of a deal.
I would buy a Pro = $399 compared to a PS3 = $699

One thing I have noticed though is that when ever you see pro's broadcasting videos or whatever theyre always on a Xbox, even when you go to madden10.com and theyre showing the game off, they are usually on a Xbox, maybe they're endorsed i dont know.

I love my xbox but with the majority of people switching to PS3 I'm gona do the same when I get the money for it.. Online play is better on xbox but it costs money while ps3 online is free.. But ps3 is more expencive so it really will be cheaper to get xbox360 and online then ps3 with free online and u get the better gameplay online with 360.

and you have enough for either a ps3 or xbox pro

What would you do?

I would buy whichever one u have more friends on. Like me, I have a ton of friends on ps3 so I would get ps3. If u don't have many friends playing online i would go xbox for better game play.

for me in your shoes i go all the way for 360 i like the controlls more then the ps ones.

Yeah man I live in Australia, it doesnt have a NFL following at all, my only online play would be gathered from this site, my brother plays call of duty on xbox but thats about it

if you're buying a console for the sole purpose of Madden then PS3 is the way to go, hands down.

the main reason you want to get a PS3 is because the 360 has turned out to be the most unreliable console of all time. i don't know how familiar you are with the Red Ring Of Death (RROD), but the 360 guys are very familiar with it and it has turn many 360 guys in to PS3 guys.

aside from that, Major League Gaming go in to the madden scene this year, and they gave their business to the PS3. So there will be a lot of national tournaments held on the Playstation 3, and most of the hardcore, and even professional, madden players will be on the PS3, as well.

is there a very decent madden '10 online following?

I have an x box and ps3... if you have hd wires with ps3 , ps3 is a lot better.It might be more money but i also like the controller to play with better.

so basically everyone is for ps3's.

ps3 all the way.... red rings of death suck...ps3 dependability is great...i recommend the mgs4 and killzone bundle. 1 in 500 ps3 is defective pretty good odds...x box is waaaaaaaaaa worse...not to mention blue ray and all the s*** u can do with it

I have had rrod three times and it doesn't bother me i just get it fixed or buy a new xbox, in my opinion xbox is the only way to go, i never even considered getting a ps3. but im a little different then most people i don't really care about picture quality very much at all witch is pretty much what the ps3 has going for it
