| I know what a few defense plays mean. Like Man Coverage, Blitz, and Cover. I'm not sure what Nickel or Dime means or when to run them. No matter what defense play I run with my team they usually can either pass or run and get a first down easily. Are my defense players not strong enough or am I picking wrong plays for wrong situations?
I do know that on first down and 3rd its good to blitz. I need help |

| Are you playing on 360? Because I'm gonna be labbing with the colts this week and hopefully getting their defense to not suck major dick. |

| Heres an ez way to play the colts D. Overload a side and blitz the hell outta it in blitz situations, first & 3rd. For first down i overload freeney's side, forcing them to run @ mathis who is a pain in the ass. and on passing i balance it out with gap rushes, spread the line, let the DE's get around the corner and sometimes ur MLB will go free. Also press coverage is helpful, giving DE's and undersized fast LBS chance 2 get to QB. Mix it up, zones, zone blitzes, etc. I usually use Brackett to manual cover any lame route like a slant, or a drag and especially TE post. ur blitzes and etc will cause lots of ducks to float up in the air for other defenders to get. too much defensive speed! use it to ur advantage, and if hey are heavily running the ball track em down with bob sanders and smack the hell out of them. (dont have the exact formations i used, but u can probably figure it out for urself.) |

| So do I have this right?
Man to Man coverage means they will cover their man no matter what.
Blitz - is obvious to me
Cover 2-4, is passing defense correct?
Cover 1- What is this?
Zone Blitz- Is Zone Blitzing better than regular blitzing? |

| Cover 1 is a slant defense more or less. your middle linebacker drops back about 5 yards, and sits. i use it when i know they are using lots of crossing routes, or slants. Jam @ the line, and let him do his thing in the middle. |

| well me myself i would just run cover1 plays as a base d until its 3rd and long or a good blitz situation because there pass rush is so dominate you want need to blitz as much. |

| nickel d is used against 3 wr sets and dime against 4 wr sets, cover 1 is good against people who throw short and cover 2 against more deep stuff. zones are good if the other team has multiple weapons you can't cover, zones make up for a weaker secondary. |

| yea but if you run cover1 and a LB in man has no one to guard the he will blitz and as long as you don't bump n run then you will have safety help over the top. |

| Cover 1 is good against more than just short passes, I use it on 1st down almost everytime, I usually manual blitz one of the LB's who doesnt have a man to man, or the guy assigned to the HB |
