So..Boston...

John smoltz...wonder what role he's going to be playing...deffinatly not closer...idk if his rm can hold up being a starter for boston... maybe a good set up man then once he has his stamina back start. but not sure. also workin on rocco baldali thatd be a good pick up. also. they mite of finalized it already havent checked.

I could c him coming in during the 7th or 8th inning to set up Pap.

Yea i havent read much on this but im guessin he will start and i did read this is setting us up to trade Clay Buchholz for Jared Saltalamaccia so it looks like Varitek realy may not be coming back... Im pretty sure Smoltz has said already that wherever he signed he wanted to start so expect him to be in our rotation as our #4...

i dont think hes ready yet but i think depending on how he does he might be a 5th starter or if our bullpen is week you might see him their.
