Brandon Marshall is now a phin

The Denver Broncos have traded wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins for two second-round picks, according to NFL ****'s Jason La Canfora, citing a league source.
Marshall, who was a restricted free agent, had signed his $2.521 million tender from the Broncos on Tuesday, a move that facilitated the trade of the mercurial receiver.

Marshall posted his third consecutive 100-catch season last year and made his second consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl despite several run-ins with Broncos coach Josh McDaniels. Marshall had an NFL-record 21 receptions during a Dec. 13 loss at Indianapolis, and his 10 touchdowns for the season were a career best.
But for all his talents on the field, Marshall has had several run-ins with the law and visits to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's office to discuss off-the-field behavior. Marshall was suspended for the 2008 season opener following a series of domestic disputes involving a former girlfriend.
Last summer, the Broncos suspended Marshall for throwing a tantrum during a training-camp practice. The source of Marshall's frustration was twofold: He was upset with the team's medical staff for misdiagnosing a hip injury that required offseason surgery, and he was displeased with his contract.
Marshall earned $2.2 million last season in the final year of the deal that he signed in 2006 as a fourth-round pick out of Central Florida. He wants to be compensated like other elite wide receivers in the NFL, which would mean a pay hike of $6 million to $8 million annually.
Marshall was one of five restricted free agents whom the Broncos tendered last month, including NFL sacks leader Elvis Dumervil and starting quarterback Kyle Orton. Marshall is the second player to sign his tender, although offensive lineman Chris Kuper's signing wasn't viewed as a means to a trade.
Orton hasn't signed his tender, but he's participating in the Broncos' offseason training program, something Dumervil and tight end Tony Scheffler, another restricted free agent hoping for a ticket out of Denver, have been skipping. Marshall had not attended the program as well.
Orton recently said he was working hard to develop a better rapport with third-year wideout Eddie Royal, the forgotten man in Denver's revamped offense last season.

in terms of madden it helps the wr core, besides that miami needs to remain focused in this draft and scout well because NO is scouting too. creating BENGALS/RAVENS LB CORPS 2.0

anyways what a beautiful pickup and it only cost a 2010 2nd and a 2011 2nd and we still retain our 1st round picks....beautiful!

finally we will see what henne is made of now he wont have mr stone hands ginn and bess can now go back to the slot....

i forsee fins drafting spiller if hes available or another wr like bryant if he is available to go with marshall although that isnt ahuge need now

The Broncos are surely going to get Dez Bryant in the first round to replace him. If not, maybe they'll grab Shipley, who could be the next Wes Welker, especially in Josh McDaniel's O. I'm almost 100 percent positive we'll grab Bryant tho.

i dono seems like a lil mini version of brandon marshal real talented but will have to answer some questions about off the field issues, i think it would be a good move for denver to pick him up though cuz i think he'll be straight and wont cause problems.

why? did they let go of porter that would've been kind of awkward to have brandon and porter on the same team remember they had beef about 2 yr's ago.

Cause he wanted them to release him. Dolphins are still in a tough conference and have a young qb.

this is a good trade for the phins and a rebuilding trade for the broncos. the experts say the broncos will get dez bryant to replace marshall and others say they will go with rolando mcclain and pick 2 wrs in the second round either way they need wr help to go with their avg at best qb's. this trade hals also kinda messed up the draft jus slightly as in the dolphins where going to move ted gin but they dont have to now and will probably go with morgan from georgia tech and put him at OLB. either way every move before the draft shacks up everything.

Im sure brandon will still have over 100 catches this season.

I hope eddie royal haves a good season.

Why would they get rid of an off the field issue with another off the field issue. Bronco's won't get Bryant. Dan Williams will be there first pick and probably that Penn State DE Odrige or something like that with there second. Mcdaniels will get either Shipley, Tate or Decker.
