NE 4-4 setup

ok ima give you my setup if i were to use the patriots with my 4-4 scheme.

LE: tully banta-cain- he gets a 93 OVR., i have faster LB's that i like to play.

RE: derrick burgess- he gets an 88 OVR. compared to his 71 OVR. if he were to play linebacker, plus he has 82 speed

DT's: vince wilfork & ty warren- wilfork is a 95 OVR. and warren gets up to a 90 OVR. if you kick him inside, nuff said.

LOLB: adalius thomas- he's an 83 OVR., has 85 speed, and a 72 zone coverage rating

MLB's: jerod mayo & gary guyton- mayo is an 88 OVR., and both of them have 85 speed, not to mention 79 and 78 zone ratings

ROLB: tyrone mckenzie- he may be only a 62 OVR. but he has 83 speed, and 75 zone rating

CB's: shawn spings & leigh bodden- bodden has 85 zone rating and springs has 86 zone rating.

FS: brandon meriweather- he is a 90 OVR. with 91 speed, 93 jump rating, 88 hit power, 78 man coverage, and 93 zone coverage.

-okay so when i need better coverage i would sub in meriweather at OLB and sub patrick chung at that single high saftey position, i would occasionally spell meriweather with chung as well. overall though the D in the 4-4 is beasty IMO.

Love the setup, I wish Seymour was still there to attack from the outside.

if he were still there and added to my setup it would be unfair! too bad though. still pretty good defensive setup.

i think everyone knows about the double A gap look you can give, kinda like a double barreled shotgun look aiming right down the center at the QB, just take that concept, and run with it, ask yourself if i was facing it how would i beat it then look to make adjustments to strengthen your D, i think you gotta user that single high saftey cuz the coverage in the 4-4 is weak as it is so you gotta give your D some user help, but like i said just take the double A gap blitz and branch out of that and creat something all your own, any gap you wanna blitz its possible the blitz possibilities are almost endless with the formation, just gotta user that saftey up top.
