settings off-line franchise

would like to know what quarter-time settings you guys choose for your franchise?
i play 7min per quarter and get some realistic stats except my defense....
my leader in tackles get only about 70-80 in da season....and lack to generate a lot of sacks against the cpu(all-madden)

Ya its tough to get sacks in the chise
I run a 1-5-5 cover 3 and drop the DEs into zone
Then user the MLB
Move him around the QB to try to draw blockers off the Nose Tackle
Don't let him get engaged, just draw the blockers over to you
Then the Nose Tackle has a chance
Also if you see the NT get close hit B real quick and do a stick move to free him up to get at the QB
I have gotten as many as 8 sacks in one game with Ratliff that way

But it is a good starting point

If you play one character through-out the entire franchise, you can accumulate anywhere from 80-125 tackles, 20-30ish TFL's and very little sacks. I use Jerod Mayo of the Patriots and I get those stats on average and about 4-5 FF's. I never intercept with my main guy normally, but once in a while I will get a sack. One year I played the Lions and had 8 FF's as Ernie Sims.

Yes, sacks are hard to accumulate unless you're playing against a horrible QB such as Derek Anderson. Even if you don't get sacks, super sim a few plays and you'll get them.

the quick release by the qb is the problem of generating a lot of sacks in my opinion...it seems they get rid of the ball in 99% of the time they get pressured...and you "MUST" (nano)blitz to get pressure of course...but anyway,thx for the tip...@CrapnCrunch

i like to play diff. positions always depending on the play calling...but noticed if you play MLB the whole game you get your stats ,of course for this player...not for the team...@genno

Well it depends on the situation. If I know I had a 99.99% chance to intercept on a deep pass, I'll switch at catch it. Reason why I never switch is cause I overrun the ball carrier and then give up the big play.

And yes, I think the Bill Harris Slider is a lil bit too easy too. I'm going to crank it up a lil.
